César Ghrenassia has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2008. He was Secretary of the pleading competition of the Paris Bar in 2010, and he has been a partner of the VIGO Law Office since 2016.
César Ghrenassia practices mainly in the fields of general and special criminal law, including criminal business law and press law.
For example, César Ghrenassia has handled cases involving issues of corruption, tax fraud, money laundering, fraud, misappropriation of corporate assets and embezzlement, and stock market, labour law and press law offences, as well as international debt collection cases.
This expertise, at the service of French and foreign individuals and legal entities, includes not only assistance before the police, gendarmerie or customs authorities and defence before disciplinary or criminal jurisdictions, but also advice and training on criminal risks and conducting internal audits.
From the beginning of his career, in accordance with the lawyer’s oath, within the VIGO Law Office and with the support of his partners, César Ghrenassia has also been able to offer pro bono services to underprivileged persons and associations, in particular the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) in cases involving transfers of surveillance technologies to foreign governments.
After having practised in Milan and written his final dissertation on the relationship between conceptual art and copyright, César Ghrenassia also defends the interests of companies, authors and performers in civil or commercial matters.
César Ghrenassia has published learned commentary and case law comments in French and Italian journals, which, in particular, discuss contemporary control and punishment figures in France and abroad. The purpose of this research work is to provide guidance to practitioners in their advisory role, in particular in the fields of corporate social responsibility and compliance.
César Ghrenassia also teaches courses in criminal law and criminal procedure in the continuing education programme for lawyers (Campus) and the Paris Bar Lawyer Training Programme (EFB), as well as at the ESSEC Business School. He also provides training in speech-writing and public speaking techniques at the EFB and the Eloquentia Association.
